Recent Projects in the UK
- Bat survey of marshland sites in London during 2005. Survey was required to find baseline data of bats and inidcations of roosts on a nature reserve as well as adjoining wetland habitats.
- Great crested newt survey of site in Kent during 2005. A series of spring time survey visits were undertaken to establish their presence, status and distribution in relation to a redevelopment of part of the site.
- Bat survey of an old pavillion building in SE London during 2004. Both interior and exterior were surveyed due to proposed redevelopment of this structure.
- Bat survey of an old hospital site to be redeveloped for light industrial use. This site in Kent was subject to a comprehensive survey for the possible presence of bats. A detailed survey report was provided to the client providing information on the survey results and required mitigation measures so to comply with national and international wildlife legislation.
- Baseline reptile and amphibian survey on a brownfield site in London. A survey report detailing the results and suggested mitigation measures was provided to the client.
- General fauna survey of an amenity based grassland site in London which had been proposed for a change in land-use. A number of surveys were undertaken for the client, and these covered birds, mammals and the potential presence of reptiles.
- Production of a full site management plan for a woodland in Greater London during 2003. This comprehensive document provided a 5 year strategy to manage and conserve the site and its wildlife interest.
- Winter bird survey of a wetland area in Kent. A detailed map of birds identified during the surveys was produced for the client.
- Ecological and landscape master plan for a new development in London. A highly detailed integrated master plan document and map was produced in conjunction with a landscape architect for the client.
- Water vole survey of an industrial area in Essex during 2002. The presence of mink was also ascertained during this project.
- A comprehensive bat survey of a residential development during autumn 2001. A series of buildings were investigated for indications of bat presence. Both the interior and exterior of the buildings were searched for field signs such as old droppings and prey remains.
- Monitoring of Great Crested Newts on a breeding site in London. This was a follow-on project in regards to a small scale translocation successfully completed in 2000 for a golf club.
